VINTON, Iowa - The third time will hopefully be the charm to get the weekly racing season underway at Benton County Speedway.
The first two attempts at a season opener were washed out by Mother Nature, leaving the twice-delayed event now scheduled for this Sunday, May 8.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by 96.5 KISS Country, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by Kwik Star, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and Legends.Direct Legends are scheduled for the Sunday event.
Both grandstand and pits will open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled of 5:30 with the first race set to go green at 6.
Grandstand admission is $13 for adults, $11 for seniors and veterans, and $5 for kids ages 6-14. Children five and under are admitted free when accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $30.
