VINTON, Iowa – A full schedule is in store for race fans at Benton County Speedway. Weekly racing, plus a pair of other motorsports events will highlight the coming week at The Bullring.
Prior to Benton County Fair festivities, IMCA weekly racing will continue on Father’s Day Sunday, June 19.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by KISS Country 96.5, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Vermedahl Logistics, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods presented by Christie Door Company, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, and INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct will all be back in action Sunday.
Weekly racing will also kick off grandstand entertainment for the Benton County Fair Thursday, June 23. Modifieds, SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts are on the card Thursday night and will be joined by the American Iron Racing Series (A.I.R.S.) cars.
All applicable IMCA points, including track points, will be awarded for the weekly divisions competing Thursday night. The standard invert will be used for qualifying.
Stock Cars and Legends are not scheduled to compete Thursday.
Push racing and an enduro are on the schedule for Friday, June 24.
The push race will feature the front car steering and the back car pushing in the two-car team event. The enduro is scheduled for 200 laps or two hours and will be timed and scored using transponders.
On Saturday, the annual Wreck ‘Em at the Ring demolition derby, held in memory of Jerry “Mike Hahn” Stanley and Jamie Schuelka, will close out grandstand events for the fair.
Standard weekly admission prices will be in effect for the Sunday, June 19 weekly racing program. That evening adult grandstand admission is $13, seniors and veterans $11, and kids 6-14 $5. Ages five and under will be admitted free if accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $30.
Both grandstand and pit gate will open at 4 p.m. Sunday, with hot laps at 5:30 and racing at 6.
Grandstand admission for each of the three Benton County Fair events is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and veterans, and $5 for ages 6-14. Ages five and under will be admitted free if accompanying a paid adult.
The nightly pit pass price for fair events is $30.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Thursday, with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7.
On Friday, grandstand and pits open at 5 p.m. with the first event scheduled to start at 7.
Pits and tech will open at 1 p.m. Saturday for the demolition derby. Grandstand will open at 4 p.m. and the event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with the kids’ power wheels.

No events are scheduled for Sunday, June 26. Officials are leaving that date open as a possible rain date for fair events affected by weather.
